Wildlife, especially endangered species, are the special topic of Regina Woeste`s art work.

Having spent years in Central Asia, Africa and America she always tracked for wild animals. In her "Thin Ice Circle" she reflected on climate change, most pominently represented by the Polar bear, a species captured in many of her paintings.

Her latest exhibition "Living abroad - Reflections" at the German Federal Foreign Office in 2010 gave an overview how her style has been influenced by living abroad and adapting to foreign cultures and painting styles.

Regina Woeste is a physician by training, born 1962 in Germany. For many years she has been living and working in Ulan Bator, Mongolia, and Cape Town and Pretoria in South Africa. Extensive travels through the light flooded landscapes of Central Asia and most of the African countries are reflected in her work. Combining elements of figurative painting with abstractions in composition and the arrangement of bright colours Regina Woeste developed her own, unique style.

2006 to 2008 Regina Woeste had a studio on Manhattan in New York City before moving back to Germany. She is now painting at her studio in the heart of Berlin, Germany.
